Panjim, Feb. 5. Don Bosco High School Sutgatti celebrated its 18th Annual School Day on February 04, 2012 in the presence of the Chief Guest Shri Ganuga Ayub Khan, Branch Manager of the Corporation Bank, parents and students.
Addressing the august gathering in the Don Bosco auditorium the Chief Guest  told the students about the importance of school life in the development of a person from childhood to adult. Watching the dances and skits put up by the students, he said, he was reminded about his days in school. The school is the second home of a child where he or she prepares himself or herself to face the society, hence everything taught and learnt goes a long way in the development and moulding of the future citizens of our nation he added.
The Annual Day was preceded by days of intense preparation both on the part of the teachers as well as the students. The students of both the State school as well as the Open school put in their best on this occasion. The winners of the various competitions which were held during the course of the scholastic year were also felicitated on this occasion. The Annual School Report was presented by the Vice Principal Rev. Fr. Kimrold D'Mello.
The main attraction of the Annual Day Programme was the musical - 'Marc goes to Bollywood' presented by the Open School boys under the guidance and direction of Fr. Francis Xavier. The play had an inspiring message to give to youngsters who prefer an easy life at the cost of their parents' labour. The solo singing of individual characters along with the live music was a fantastic blend. Many of the students who performed on stage were first timers. Yet with a lot of practice and determination they were able to put up a descent show. Most the dances which preceded before the musical were all folk dances which portrayed the different cultures present on our Indian soil. The Kannada play 'Matr Devo Bhava' that won the second prize in the district level skit competition was also staged on this occasion. The programme concluded with the display of human pyramids trained by the P. T. Instructor Mr. Vasant in the school lawn.
It was a celebration of talent, achievements, rewards, wisdom and togetherness with each other. The students of Don Bosco High School Sutgatti proved that they can do much more than what they normally do with willingness and determination to achieve it. The best boy of the year award was presented to Imran Saudagar from class X while the best girl of the year award was presented to
Zomki  from the Open School. The Red house won the rolling trophy for the best house of the year.
