Don Bosco Tech (3rd Batch MoRD) Parents Day at Trasi By Fr. Leo PereiraPanjim, Dec. 10. The First Parents Meeting for the 3rd MoRD batch was held on December 12, 2011 at 03.00 pm. 75 parents were present for the meeting. Mr Roger welcomed the Rector of Don Bosco Institute Fr. Anand Noronha, the Director-Fr. Leo Pereira, and parents representatives Mrs. Alice Dais and Mr. Sudhir.
The meeting started with a prayer. Rev. Fr. Anand Noronha then briefed the parents on this project; starting from mobilization to the placements and Post Placement survey too. He further requested the parents to encourage their children to work hard and not to see the salary but to gain experience in the concerned field. He also mentioned the problems that last two batches have faced after the placement and how the Centre Coordinator Rev. Fr. Leo Pereira and the trainers have counseled them and how they are doing good at their responsibilities. He further wished the trainees for the bright future and thanked the parents for trusting and sending their children to our institute.
Ms. Jacintha briefed the parents on how the trainees evaluation was done.
Sir. Vinod later briefed on the placements.Some parents mentioned that after joining Don Bosco their children have become more active, they wake up early in the morning, they don't want to miss the classes, studying hard, very interested in participating in all the activities, have become independent etc.., the parents thanked the management and the trainers for their unconditional support towards their children and for guiding them.
Rev. Fr. Leo Pereira in his address appreciated the parents for the way they have bought up their children. He further suggested the parents to give space to their children. Since each child have got different talents and by sheltering them too much, they might not know to use it at the right time and won't try to come out from their shells. He requested the parents to leave some decisions on the children and to have faith in them and also assured that they in safe hands.
Further Rev. Fr. Leo Pereira distributed the Cash Prizes to the trainees who have been qualified for the weekly activity: ''Wealth out of Waste'' competition. Sir. Oscar compared the program. The Meeting concluded with Mrs. Maria proposed the Vote of thanks.
