Panjim, Nov. 18. ''You are the sun, you make me shine,.... my world,You are my life.''
Every year, come November 14th, we celebrate children's day. Don Bosco Trasi had a unique way of reaching out to the children of Hospette village by conducting and animating various competitions and group activities to celebrate the talents and success of the children. The children were invited to Don Bosco institute, Trasi. In all we had 26 children consisting of both boys and girls.

Declaring the ''Children's Day Open'', Fr. Anand Noronha the Rector said, ''Every child has some thing to contribute through their talents.'' He later encouraged the children to participate in the activities imploring them that ''Childhood is the best time of human life.''

The rest of the day, the children were seen hustling and bursting with shouts of joy as they participated in various events and competitions that were organized by Cl. Joy Gonsalves.

Towards dawn, Fr. Leo Pereira, while concluding the Children's day program recalled the lyrics of the Pop Star Michael Jackson in his song ''You are my life,'' which he had dedicated to the children. Addressing the children gathered, Fr. Leo said:

''You are the sun, you make me shine,
or more like the stars, that twinkle at night.
You are the moon that glows in my heart,
You're my day time, my night time, my world,
You are my life.''

Fr. Leo then congratulated the children for their active participation.....indeed, the Salesians bore witness to what Don Bosco said, ''Love what the children love''..... Gifts and prizes were distributed to all the children, as it was indeed, ''Happy Children's Day.''!
