Bosconet Hosts Capacity Building Awareness Programmes

New Delhi, Dec. 3. Bosconet India has organized one-day orientation programmes across India for Civil Society Organizations (CSO's) to promote awareness and assist the weaker sections of society, to avail their entitlements and welfare schemes in the last two months. The sessions were for selected 'Training of Trainers (TOTs) and CSOs in the following cities: Chennai and Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, Aurangabad, Maharashtra and Delhi and Goa.
The orientation programme was conducted by Louis Manohar, National Coordinator, Bosco Net, over five modules under the project - Participatory Approach, Advocacy Skills, Lobbying Skills, Negotiation Strategies and Skills and Right to Government Welfare Schemes. The programme gives access to more than two lac people, their rightful benefits from various welfare schemes, both at the central and state governments across the country.

Father Santhanam, Assistant Director of Bosco Net, organized the orientations, briefing participants about the involvement of different provinces of Salesian India and articulating the importance and benefits of networking.

The initiative of Bosconet to bring all the NGOs under one roof to plan and execute strategies was appreciated by those who attended the programme.
