You are Light, Be a Light; Uth LEAD - 2021

Bangalore, Oct. 19. Don Bosco Youth Services, Karnataka, organized Uth LEAD - 2021 (Youth Leadership Enhancement and Attitude Development) programme for young people on leadership at Don Bosco Education Complex, Hospet, Karnataka, on October 16 and 17, 2021, with the theme, You are Light, Be a Light.
Father Jude Anand SDB, the Rector of Don Bosco Education Complex, Hospet, delivering the Keynote Address, spoke about the need for leadership in the lives of young people. Father Aloysius SDB, the Rector and Parish Priest of Don Bosco Shrine Lingarajapuram, in his presidential talk, spoke on how and why Don Bosco wanted his youngsters to be leaders. The Regional Youth Director of Bosco Youth, Karnataka, Father William, highlighted the outstanding qualities of the leader. The District General Secretary of Pradesh Congress, SS Abdul Kalam Azad, spoke on the need for young people to participate in politics to bring about the desired change in society.

''Youth Walk,'' one of the features of the programme, had four sessions held simultaneously on the themes: leader among friends, a leader in your workplace, leader in your family and leader in my spiritual life. Other specialities of Uth LEAD - 2021 were Taizé prayer, a visit to TB dam, campfire and leadership activities. There were 103 young participants and ten Salesians for Uth LEAD - 2021.
