Bangalore, May. 2. Fr Anil D'sa, a Salesian of the Province of Bangalore and the Director of ICYM (Indian Catholic Youth Movement) Bangalore, brought together young volunteers in collaboration with the Sneha Charitable Trust (Camellian Fathers) to be Covid Warriors in hospitals in Bangalore city. Fifty volunteers, including religious brothers and sisters, are working in different batches in the hospitals.
Before getting into action, the Covid warriors are trained by a medical team to support the nurses and doctors. They serve food and medicine to the Covid patients in the ICUs and wards, assist them in washrooms, and support the nurses by procuring reports and medicine. Their presence brings joy and consolation to the patients. They bring solace to the frontline workers who labour so much for the wellbeing of the patients. We salute all of them for their courage and empathy.
