As a sign of gratitude to all who associate and collaborate with the Salesian College of Higher Education (SCHE), a concert on ''Mercy not Revenge'' was staged on August 6th and 7th at Father Paul Bernick Memorial Auditorium. It was a timely concert in keeping with Holy Father Pope Francis' declaration of Year of Mercy. The students under the able direction of of Fr. Gyan sandeep, the vice-principal and the counsellor put up a meaningful show with spicy mix of One act play, instrumentals, Dances and Solo presentation in keeping with the theme ''Mercy and not revenge''

Holy Cross Catholic Youth Movement, in Dimapur, Nagaland, organised the 2nd Annual Sports Meet in view of the upcoming Silver Jubilee of Holy Cross Youth Movement at the Holy Cross Hr. Sec. School Dimapur on 18th-19th July 2016. There were eighteen teams from six units that participated in the competitions from the Dimapur region. Salesian College of Higher Education team brought laurel to the college as it bagged the first and the second positions in the volleyball and basketball matches respectively. Father Gyan Sandeep Kujur, Vice-Principal of Salesian College, was the champion of men's single badminton. Bro. Rajendra and Bro. Zhopa Charles Khamo of Salesian College were declared as the best players in the volleyball and basketball matches respectively.

To celebrate together the gift of Faith, the Youth Deptartment of Salesian College organized Faith Fest at Diphupar-A, 4th Mile Dimapur on Sunday. Father Karthikapallil Thomas, the Director of Salesian College, Dimapur, Father Chittissery Joseph, the Secertary to the Provincial of Dimapur Province, and Bro. Sebastian Kamsuan, the Asst. Professor of Salesian College were the resource persons for the same. Father Chingjanpou James Kamei, the Principal of Don Bosco HR. SEC. School Maram, was the guest of honour. Participants for the Faith Fest comprise of youth from five villages namely, Diphupar -A, Diphupar -B, Burma-Camp, Chunchamlong (Lohorijan) and Zeliangrong Village (Dobhinala).

In a ritual that verbatim resembled a religious profession, or the initiation ceremony in an Assam's Satra, 24 young people committed themselves today to serve their community. These young people, called Takars, have undergone training in discipline, community service and spirituality for two years. Of these 13 belonged to the 12th batch of Karsang Takar, the school dropouts training centre of Institution for Culture And Rural Development (I-CARD). Since the ritual was not performed after a lapse of five years, another 11 young volunteers, belonging to earlier batches too joined the commitment group.

Fr. Klement Vaclav, Councillor for the Missions visited the Province of Dimapur from November 16-21, 2011. His focus was the Arunachal Missions, since in his earlier visit it was not materialized. On his arrival, 16 November, he was first taken to Don Bosco School, Borduria, where he was accorded a warm welcome by the boarding children, co-operators and the parishioners. Early in the morning of 17 November, Fr. Joseph Thottappallil, drove Fr. Vaclav and those accompanying him viz., Fr. Jose Pallely, Fr. Mathew Tharakan and Fr. Anto Tharakan to Ottongkhowa, where a school is under construction. Though the road seemed rough, wild and dusty, they were gladdened by the smiling welcome they received from the children as well as the people. After the Breakfast and a little felicitation, the visitor had a look at the construction going on. St. Thomas Parish, Sadiya, one of the first parishes among the Misings, celebrated the Silver Jubilee of its establishment on 22 - 23 October with over 1000 faithful gathered for the celebration.
