The Don Bosco School Excellence Mission (DBSEM) facilitated one day training for all Don Bosco Principals in Guwahati province on 23rd January 2015 at Don Bosco Institute, Kharghuli. 35 schools from the province were represented. Fr. Maria Charles, the Delegate for Youth Pastoral and the Co-ordinator for Education and Culture, South Asia animated the training along with Ms. Poonam Choksi, a resource person from Adhyayan, an Institute for Quality Education Services Mumbai.. In solidarity with the whole world, and specially as a bicentenary initiative, the Salesians of the Province of Hyderabad along with Dalit Bahujan Front (DBF) flagged off the awareness campaign of Action 2015 . Aimed at conscientizing, the short programmes in Hyderabad and Warangal witnessed a group of 15 children meet Dr Rajaiah, the deputy Chief Minister of Telangana State on January 15 and present him with a memorandum in both the places. . Joseph Vaz publised by Salesian Father Banzelao Teixeira a few days prior to the canonization of the Indian Saint who was a missionary in Sri Lanka. The canonization is to take place on 14 January 2015 in Colombo, during the first visit of Pope Francis to that country. Bl. Jorhat: The annual cultural tourism extravaganza, Ethnique, in Jorhat, Assam, came to a grand finale on 4 January, with the heart thumbing dance show by Rhythm of Dance, led by Mr. Bapi Saikia of Baghchung. Prior to the dance show was a fashion parade in both ethnic and modern outfits by the students of The Ramp Modeling Institute, put together by Mr. Pranjit Chetia. Miss Tridisha Baruah , Jorhat's own child and one of the busiest models in the entire India, walked the ramp together with Daniel Brunen of Germany for the two-rounds fashion parade.
