The Relic of Don Bosco arrived on Friday 29 July 2011 at the gates of Holy Child School, New Delhi, as part of the world wide pilgrimage to mark the 150th anniversary of the Salesian Order. The motorcade, accompanying the specially designed and built truck carrying the Holy Relic, reached Poorvi Marg from the Don Bosco Provincial House at Okhla at 7:40 am. Elaborate arrangement had been made by the Delhi police to direct and manage the traffic in the area. Both sides of the road were lined with HCA students waving ecstatically multihued flags while the air reverberated with their greetings ''Long Live Don Bosco!'' and ''We love you Don Bosco!''. About seven thousand faithful had a highly spiritual experience of the Eucharistic celebration in the presence of the sacred relic of Don Bosco celebrated prayerfully by His Eminence, Cardinal Telephore P. Toppo, Archbishop of Ranchi archdiocese. Speaking during the homily he underscored the vocation to holiness given by God to every human being. He said, ''We are all called to be like Christ just as Don Bosco was.'' Through his Spirit-filled homily and well articulated prayers, he led the Christian community on 17th Sunday of the year into an intense celebration of the Lord's resurrection which the relic signifies.. About two kilometers before Kunkuri a small township, in Jashpur district of Chattisgarh, the clergy, faithful and people in large big numbers greeted Don Bosco. Women folk and children sang and danced continuously along the road till the Casket reached the Cathedral as the sky kept showering upon them gentle rain. Umbrellas after umbrellas followed the van carrying the Relic. Meanwhile, the bystanders of the township watched in amazement and wonder. The crowd was so big that the casket was lowered with great difficulty. The cathedral was bursting with the large number of faithful. . Read More

Mr Rajiv Tikmany of Kolkata has been elected President of the Indian National Federation of Don Bosco Alumni during the three-day meeting of the National Council of the Association which concluded on 18 June at Don Bosco, Panjim, Goa. He replaces Mr Rajesh Gupta who held this office for the past nine years. Other newly elected office bearers are Prof. C. V. Francis of Cochin (Vice-President), Dr Stephen Kamson of Dimapur (Secretary), Mr Edward Noronha of Goa (Treasurer). Ms Erenbeni Kihon of Dimapur will have special charge of the women alumni, Mr Ambrose Marak of Guwahati, Dr Ashish Gupta of New Delhi and Mr Cedric Carvalho of Goa were elected councillors.. The Salesian Province of New Delhi bid adieu to one of her illustrious sons, Fr. George Xalxo, sdb (60), who went to his eternal reward on May 6, 2011. He was bedridden for almost two and half years after having a second stroke on 20th August 2008. On 6th May morning he was found to have difficulty in breathing and vomiting and was taken for treatment and showed improvement. He was given the anointing of the sick but following a relapse, he passed away at 3.15 pm on the feast day of St. Dominic Savio.. Read More

Sr. Dr. Perpetua SAS was the resource person for the seminar. Rev. Fr. Hilarius Kullu SDB, the Rector, inaugurated the seminar in the presence of Fr. Principal and the other fathers and staff.
