This dictionary has been published under the auspices of the East Asia-Oceania Region. It has been compiled over a long period of time covering two Workshops held by translators from the East Asia-Oceania Salesian region, one in 2014 the other in 2019. The Salesian Dictionary is a comprehensive effort to compile a list of terms in current (and sometimes in historical) use in Salesian discourse in English. Perhaps 98% of these terms have originated in Italian, some in the Piedmontese dialect, the vernacular of the founding Father and most of his first followers. But as Don Bosco's charism became established outside of Italy, it was inevitable that new terms would arise with their origins in other languages.. Read More

Jorhat, A 3-day seminar organised by I-CARD (Institution for Culture And Rural Development) from 25th to 27th October at Jorhat on 'Children in Mising Society' esposed the plight of children of the Mishing tribe, an indigenous community inhabiting parts of the Indian states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. They are also known as Miris and trace back to the ancestor Abotani.

This flagship programme of the Movement is meant for the leaders of local units and their animators. Initiated three years back with the aim to strengthen and embolden the Movement, regional approach was adopted in carrying out the formation of the young leaders and their animators, given the geographical vastness and diverse nature of its inhabitants. Vatican City: Countless women and girls are being ''crucified'' by human traffickers, who trick them into slave labor or prostitution, and by those who seek out their services and exploit them, said the missionary nun who wrote the meditations for Pope Francis' Way of the Cross service.

On March 30, with a host of Olympians in its midst, the Matunga-based school inaugurated a Fedrration Internationale de Hockey (FIH) approved full-sized astroturf pitch with the hope to develop future generations of hockey acumen.
