Jalandhar: The Annual Assembly of Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) Catechetical Commission was held at Jalandhar from 11 to 14 September 2018 at the Pastoral Centre of the Diocese of Jalandhar. Father Gilbert Choondal SDB, the Catechetical Director of Nitika Don Bosco, Kolkata, addressed 130 Catechetical Directors from India and delivered the keynote address, ''Challenges of Youth Catechesis in the Context of Synod 2018.'' - Religious Education Quarterly Journal (Estd 1983) After a 5 year lapse - A fantabulous and re-vamped Catechetics India will be re-launched in Kolkata on Sunday 26 August 2018. The publication was started as the flagship journal of Don Bosco Catechetics India - by the first Salesian Catechetical Centre in India (Calcutta) in 1977 under its Director and Rector late Father Luciano Colussi SDB who authored the first book on CHILD CATECHESIS. Those days, there used to be also an annual meeting of Salesians (both SDB and FMA) Catechetical experts. Today Don Bosco Catechetical and Multimedia Centre (DBCMC) is called Nitika Don Bosco..
