Mirik -- A group of four Radio Journalists (RJ) of Radio Salesian 90.8 FM hit the road in search of first time voters under the leadership of Program Director RJ Samir and Senior RJ Rj Sagar, RJ Dikshit and RJ Moses.
The team's first destination Last Monday (1st April) was Ambootia Tea Estate via Singel Tea Estate. In both places the RJs interviewed young people and plantation workers.

A priest who worked for street children in various Indian cities for over 33 years died on March 19.
Salesian Father Anthony Thaiparambil died at Don Bosco Provincial House New Delhi. He was 84.
His funeral is scheduled to be held in the Salesian cemetery at Okhla, New Delhi at 4 pm on 22nd March 2019.. Read More »

Darjeeling -- The Salesian College Publication participating in the 23rd Annual Darjeeling District Book Fair held from 14 to 17 March 2019 won laurels for being the only college publication at the fair.
The anuual book fair was organized by Darjeeling Book Fair Committee in Darjeeling's iconic Capitol Cinema Hall - a stone building with a clock standing 100ft high and used to house a 600-seat theatre from 1921 to 1984.. Read More »

A group of Salesian Alumni coordinated the visit of Salesian Cardinal Charles Bo of Myanmar, current Archbishop of Yangon to Kolkata. The Cardinal was on a two day visit to meet with his ailing brother Mr Bernard.
Cardinal also met his former Superiors and confreres at Salesian Provincial House, and paid a courtesy visit to Archbishop Thomas D'Souza of Calcutta. He also visited the historical Marian shrine at Bandel with his brother Bernard and family.. Read More »
