Verzotto memorial lecture is an annual event in honour of Father Joseph Verzotto, a Salesian priest and a great philosopher who taught ethics, metaphysics, psychology, epistemology and Indian philosophy at Salesian College apart from being the college librarian, counsellor, postman, fundraiser, and a philanthropist. Schneider Electric Foundation - the social commitment arm of Schneider Electric and Don Bosco Institute, Nepal, committed to the poor young people in the Kathmandu valley, has launched a Centre of Excellence at Lalitpur, Nepal. Honourable Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Nepal, Pampha Bhusal, inaugurated the centre with French Ambassador-designate Gilles Bourbao present. With State-of-the-art equipment and facilities, the centre will provide vocational training and skill development to around 1000 youth over the next five years in home and building installation, basic automation, home automation, safe and secure building operations, industrial installations controls and drives..
