Mr Rajiv Tikmany of Kolkata has been elected President of the Indian National Federation of Don Bosco Alumni during the three-day meeting of the National Council of the Association which concluded on 18 June at Don Bosco, Panjim, Goa. He replaces Mr Rajesh Gupta who held this office for the past nine years. Other newly elected office bearers are Prof. C. V. Francis of Cochin (Vice-President), Dr Stephen Kamson of Dimapur (Secretary), Mr Edward Noronha of Goa (Treasurer). Ms Erenbeni Kihon of Dimapur will have special charge of the women alumni, Mr Ambrose Marak of Guwahati, Dr Ashish Gupta of New Delhi and Mr Cedric Carvalho of Goa were elected councillors.. Cherrapunjee, June 19: Rain or no rain the pilgrims of the casket containing the right hand of St. John Bosco did not mind for having to wait till late midnight for the arrival of the life-size replica of Don Bosco. Cherrapunjee has become another centre of attraction for the people not for the rains this time as it was in earlier days but for the sacred remains of the 'Father and educator of the young', Don Bosco. The citizens of the 'abode of clouds' in this farthest corner of the state in East Khasi Hills carry a deep religious faith to whatever religion they belong. The casket relic of the saint on the world tour will be kept in the Shrine of St. John Bosco for two days. The shrine was inaugurated by Rev. Fr.
