Chennai, Apr. 5. NIRAIVAGAM conducted a webinar on “Parenting the children with Autism” on the world Autism Awareness Day on 2nd of April 2022.

NIRAIVAGAM conducted a webinar on “Parenting the children with Autism” on the world Autism Awareness Day on 2nd of April 2022. The Webinar started at 6.00 p.m. and ended at 8.00 p.m. Dr. Andaver P. Jaidev, Sparks Educational Institution for Autism, Madurai, and Mrs Gayathri, Kalpavrisha, Chennai, were the Resource personnel who conducted the Webinar.

There were 61 participants from different institutions and families who actively took part in the webinar. It was also live streamed in YouTube which helped many to attend and benefit from the inspirational Webinar. The Resource persons dealt in depth about Autism, the role of the parents, teachers and the Society in caring for the children with Autism. They also cleared the doubts that the parents raised when caring for these autistic children. This initiative from the Director of Niraivagam, Fr. Joseph Jeyaraj SDB and his Team to conscientize the parents and educators to care for such children is greatly commendable.
