Don Bosco Village Integral Animation Promotes Natural Farming on Women's Day

Chennai, Mar. 18. The International Women's Day celebrations at Veeralur, Tamil Nadu, focused on natural farming and care for mother earth among 1000 women from 27 villages. The programme organized by Don Bosco Village Integral Animation (VIA) began with Kummi and Kolattam dances.
The chief guests of the day, Mr P Selvam, Mr R L Rosario and Mrs Gnana Sigamani, the Headmistress of Girls Higher Secondary School, Adamangalam, insisted on the importance of Girl-Child education. After the cultural programme, there was a rally in the main streets of Adamangalam. Meanwhile, saplings were distributed to the participants as a tangible way to bring about change and care for the earth.
