Salesian Brother Sushanto Biswas, a Passionate Evangelizer, Dies

Kolkata, Feb. 26. Salesian Brother Sushanto Biswas, who never tired of sharing the good news with people of all religions, died on February 25, 2022, at 3.40 pm at Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Kolkata, due to cardiac arrest. He was 76.
''Brother Sushanto was a genuinely good and gentle human being, serene and without guile, with a sweet persistence for the Lord's work. A happy Salesian, a passionate evangelizer, and most enthusiastic about and supportive of vocations,'' wrote Father Jude Sebastian, Salesian from Kolkatta Province at the demise of Brother Biswas. The Salesians and the people of the place recall his contagious witness of the Lord as he reached out to people of all faiths. A communique from Kolkata Salesian Provincial informs that Requiem Mass will be celebrated at the Provincial House on February 26, at 7.00 pm. The Funeral is scheduled for Monday, February 28, 2022, at 2.00 pm at Bandel Basilica.
