Panjim, Dec. 10. Zinho Fernandes, hailing from Sao Jose de Areal, Goa, won the Jury's Choice award for the music video titled 'Listen' at the Don Bosco Global Youth Film Festival that concluded on November 19, 2021, in Valdocco, Italy.
A member of Don Bosco Youth Services of the Province of Panjim (DBYS - INP), Zinho Fernandes received the award at a virtual prize ceremony accompanied by Father Jason Coelho, Director, DBYS - INP. ''It's his hard work and love for music that led him to the global stage. It's an honour and a great blessing, and Zinho truly deserves this special moment'', said Father Coelho.

Rector Major of the Salesian Congregation, Father Angel Fernandez Artime, congratulated and thanked Zinho at the award ceremony. Zinho conceptualized his first music video during the height of the pandemic lockdown and everyone in a state of fear. ''I thought of coming up with a song to give hope to youth during these troubled times, and the song revolves around having faith in God'', said Zinho Fernandes.

The entire video was shot on a mobile phone. ''We used a mobile phone to set an example for upcoming artists, that they don't need the latest tech or a huge amount of money to follow their passion and create a song'', added Zinho. He credits his brother, Leander Fernandes, the videographer and editor, for his unstinted support for the project.

Danver Godinho, sound engineer, and Princeton Colaco, singer and classmate of Zinho in the college, took the song to another level and made it unique, said Zinho. Rohan Raikar choreographer and dancers Berny Dias, Jocelyn Godinho, Sankalp Gadekar Leander Fernandes moved to the rhythm.

''This song would not have been possible without the guidance of Father Jason, my parents, Noah Rodrigues, Pandu Lamani, Mark Afonso, Joel Fernandes, Samuel Afonso, and most importantly, the blessings of God'', said Zinho.
