DBCE IIC Awarded Four Star Rating for Best Performing IIC National Level

Panjim, Dec. 4. Don Bosco College of Engineering's (DBCE) Institution Innovation Council (IIC) has been awarded FOUR-STAR Rating out of five by Government of India, Ministry of Education's (MoE), Innovation Cell.  The recognition is for best performing IIC at State as well as one among the best at National level for promoting Innovation and Entrepreneurship related activities prescribed by MoE's Innovation Cell (MIC) for the academic year 2020-2021.
With over 2680 institutions and universities participating in the ranking, 269 colleges received the highest rating and DBCE was one among them. DBCE also received the highest rating among all IIC's established in Goa.

Various activities throughout the year are organized under the aegis of DBCE's IIC such Workshop on Entrepreneurship and Innovation as Career Opportunity, My Story - Motivational Session by Successful Innovators, Problem Solving and Ideation Workshop, Exposure and Field Visit for problem identification, Pitching workshop and linkage of innovators with Innovation Ambassadors, Panel Discussion on Atmanirbhar Bharat- Vocal for Local, Workshop on Prototype/Process Design and Development -  Prototyping, Session on Business Model Canvas (BMC), Session on identifying Intellectual Property component at the early stage of Innovation, and Institute level Proof of Concept (POC) competition.
The IIC Council 3.0 team comprised of President Dr. Varsha Turkar, Vice President Dr. Gaurang Patkar, Convenor and ARIIA Coordinator Michelle Araujo, Social Media Coordinator Avila Naik, Innovation Activity Coordinator Swapnil Ramani, Internship Activity Coordinator Dr. Vivek Jog, IPR Activity Coordinator Oswyn Soares, Start-up Activity Coordinator Satyesh Kakodkar, NIRF Coordinator Suraj Marathe and Members - Selvyn Fernandes, Natasha D'souza, Kimberly Morais, and Grebian Alemao.


Eminent personalities from various fields such as CEO - FiiRE, D. S. Prashant, MD, Kallows Engineering India, Gajanan Nagarsekar, V.P., Open Destinations, Milind Anvekar, Co-Founder, Earnestek, Sharavan Hedge, Advocate Shalini Menezes along with student representatives were part of the core IIC 3.0 Committee.

Principal, Dr Neena Panandikar, on the occasion said, our country needs its education system to play an more important role in awakening students to entrepreneurship and pragmatic learning for the future and Installing MoE's IIC at DBCE is indeed a step in this direction.  The constant support and encouragement of Director, Kinley D'Cruz and IIC team 3.0, the institution has created a vibrant ecosystem to foster a culture of innovation and start-ups she added.
