Kolkata, Nov. 17. The High Court judge of Panjab-Haryana, Sudip Ahluwalia, visited the Basilica at Bandel on November 11, making it a personal pilgrimage as a custom while he was in Kolkata High Court.
Married to a catholic from Darjeeling, Ahluwalia and his wife would come to Bandel to attend Holy Mass while serving Kolkata High Court. However, he missed the Holy Mass during this visit, and he regretted it. He participated in the live-streamed Holy Mass on Sunday.

Sipping a cup of coffee, he shared his closeness with the Church in Chandigarh and Salesians in the parish with whom he is personally associated. He appreciated the beauty of the place and compared it to Fatima. ''Such a privilege and a humbling experience to be able to visit the house of God here in Bandel, which has improved since my last visit in September 2013. The Pilgrims' Garden was non-existent earlier is at once enthralling, impressive as well as informative, '' wrote the judge in the Visitors' Book.
