Panjim, Nov. 12. At the recently held convocation ceremony at the Karnatak University, Dharwad, Father Francis Xavier Francis of the Salesian Province of Panjim was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.

His research on New Media a Pedagogical Tool for Academic Learning: A study of Pre-university Students of Gadag District was supervised by Asst. Professor Sanjayakumar Malagatti.
