Bosco Seva Kendra Reaches 7,20,000 People through Humanitarian Service

Hyderabad, Jun. 12. Bosco Seva Kendra (BSK), the planning and development office of the Salesian Province of Hyderabad, through its 32 Don Bosco institutions and 121 Civil Society Organizations, spread across the Telugu states, has reached out to 7,20,000 people from March 26, 2020, to date, with the generous support of benefactors, donor agencies and corporate partners.
Focusing on the upliftment of the needy and vulnerable children, economically backward women, unemployed and unskilled youth, BSK, reaches out to people in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha for the last 29 years.

As part of the pandemic second wave, BSK continues to involve with the support of organizations like Zomato India, Nestle India, Accenture, and Bosco Net - New Delhi by distributing cooked food at Bandalaguda Jagir Municipal areas. It has reached out to more than 700 persons, tested positive and in isolation, with cooked food. Similarly, cooperating with civil society organizations at Kuntlur near Haythnagar, served food to 5000 migrants who have lost their job since May 6, 2021. In addition, Father Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, Provincial, Father Bellamkonda Sudhakar, Executive Director of BSK and Father Parri Sarath, Assistant Director of BSK have distributed 750 dry ration kits to the guest workers (migrants) at Hayathnagar, Gagillpur, Balanagar, Suraram, Nehrunagar, Santhnagar ESI, Balkampet, Moosapset, Erragada, Bharat Pet, and Borabanda on June 12, 2021.

It has scheduled to distribute 6000 food kits and 5000 medical kits to the rural daily wage workers in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha in the coming months.
