College Holds Self Defence and Self Esteem Workshop for Girls

Kolkata, Apr. 8. Sonada, 8th April 2021: The Women's Cell of Salesian College Siliguri organised a two-day workshop for girls on Self Defence and Self Esteem.

The workshop was held in collaboration with The Himalayan Institute of Goodwill and Living Ethics and Auroville friends from 8th to 9th April.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) trainer Giacomo Colomba from Italy trained in Shou Dao School under Master Francesco Collesano was the instructor. Colomba lives and teaches in India since 2015 and runs a Martial Art school in Auroville, Pondicherry.

The training program started with both online and offline mode. Thirty students participated in the four-hour workshop spread out in two days. The same team will hold a similar workshop for a selected group of 20 girls from 19th to 20th April at the Sonada campus.
