Fr Ronald INP ordained a priest of God

Panjim, Dec. 18. Deacon Ronald Vaz was ordained a priest of God by His Grace Patriarch Filipe Neri Ferrao, Bishop Archdiocese of Goa and Daman, in the presence of Salesian Provincial of Panjim Fr Felix Fernandes, representatives of the Salesian presences of the province, parents, brother and relatives of Deacon Ronald in a meaningful ceremony held in the local language of the state of Goa and Konkan region, Konkani at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, Don Bosco Panjim Campus on 18 December.
Quoting Curé d'Ars Saint John Marie Vianney, Archbishop Neri said, the priest will never understand the greatness of his office, until he reaches heaven, if he understood it here on earth, he would die not out of fear but out of great love.  He advised Deacon Ronald to accepted to be the image of the Good Shepherd and we wished him his blessings as he ventures out to his ministry with and for the young.

Provincial, Salesian Province of Panjim Fr Felix Fernandes, thanked the archbishop Patriarch Filip Neri Ferrao for ordaining Fr Ronald.  Quoting Cure d Ars, who said, if only a priest could recognize the profound meaning of his priesthood, he would sworn with joy and wonderment.  Wishing the new ordinand the joys of the priesthood in Christ Jesus, he wished Fr Vaz the joy of priesthood today and always.   He also thanked his parents Joaquim and Angaline and brother Ranson for giving Fr Ronald to the congregation and for the service of youth in Jesus Christ.  He also acknowledged the village of Caranzalem for nurturing and caring vocations to the priesthood.

Thanking the Archbishop, Provincial and the congregation, Fr Ronald expressed his joy as coming the first full circle of his life, from the lower class to the higher secondary at Don Bosco Panjim to being ordained a Salesian priest on the very same campus he began his journey.
The ceremony ended with a photo session of the Salesian family and relatives of the young priest.
