Hyderabad, Jun. 26. It was a big day in the annals of Don Bosco Mariapuram and the community. Father Maramreddy Vijaya Prakash with Don Bosco Navajeevan (DBNJ) team rescued 42 migrants heading towards Assam from Karimnagar (Telangana) walking along the railway tracks. They were noticed by Pranay and  Venkat (Caretakers of Navajeevan) while the group at Waddepally tracks was walking towards Warangal Railway station.
On receiving them, DBNJ team served them breakfast at Warangal Railway station while Father Prakash informed the higher officials about these migrants who were walking. Meanwhile, the local police threatened the migrants to leave the Warangal Railway station immediately instead of guarding and helping them to reach back home. Thus, the migrants kept walking and reached the next Railway station (One can find the video walking along the track).

Instantly, DBNJ reached the next station and found them there. Meanwhile, a video shot privately on mobile that covered walking scene of migrants by a TV5 channel reporter, reached the Assam Chief Minister and chief secretary of Telangana. Consequently, DBNJ team received a call from Superintendent of Police of both Telangana and Assam governments to stay with them and protect them. Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) of Khila Warangal, Village Revenue Officer (VRO) of Vanchanagiri, and Sub Inspector of Geesukonda visited the location with the orders from Superintendent of Police, Warangal and Principal Secretary of Telangana state. As a result, MRO of Khila Warangal arranged a vehicle to shift them from Warangal to Karimnagar back, to travel by a special train on the same night of 9th May 2020 to Assam. The MRO of Khila Warangal and Village Revenue Officer (VRO) of Vanchanagiri, and Sub Inspector of Geesukonda appreciated Don Bosco Navajeevan for their concern towards the migrants.
