Telangana Governor Applauds Don Bosco COVID-19 Relief Outreach

Hyderabad, Apr. 18. Father Bellamkonda Sudhakar, Executive Director-BSK [Bosco Seva Kendra] along with Father Sarath, Asst. Executive Director and Father Gnanapraksam, Workshop Manager, Don Bosco Navajeevan (DBNJ) Rehabilitation Centre, Ramanthapur participated in the COVID-19 food distribution campaign at Raj Bhavan by Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Governor- Telangana. Don Bosco Network Hyderabad handed over 2500 masks sewn by the Non-Formal Vocational Training students of Don Bosco Navajeevan, (DBNJ) Rehabilitation Centre, Ramanthapur.
In a personal interaction with the Salesians of Don Bosco, Governor Dr. Soundararajan, appreciated the NGOs in general and in particular the services offered by Don Bosco as one of the more prominent NGO for the relief works carried out during COVID-19 pandemic. This interaction with the Governor was facilitated by Sri K Surendra Mohan, Secretary; Sri C.N Raghu Prasad, Deputy Secretary and Smt. Prashanthi Vangeepuram, Deputy Commissioner-GHMC.

BSK has carried out extensive COVID-19 relief outreach across the twin cities - Hyderabad and Secunderabad for the most neglected and needy migrant from different parts of India,. These come from Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Chattisgarh, Bihar, Rahasthan, Maharashtra, Karntaka etc. Further, BSK has also extended support to migrants from different districts of Telugu states Srikakulam, Prakasham, Nellore, Kurnool, Viziangaram, Mahaboobnagar, Krimnagar, Nalgonda, Adilabad, Medak and the like. BSK is also collaborating with Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), providing masks in two zones-Serilingampally and Kukkatpally.
