Covid-19 is frightening, as the number of infected is on its rapid rise. On the contrary there are millions of marginalized Indians existing without a safety net. The transgender community are taken for granted and forgotten by society. The section of society that is at the crossroads of this crisis, looking for someone to help and come their rescue.
Most of them work in the unorganised sectors. They are involved in traditional begging in the trains, work as manual labourers, construction workers, machine operators, assemblers and truck drivers. Their work requires them to frequent crowded places - railway stations, markets, and the like. Without doing this, the transgender community will not be able to earn daily wages nor have access to food and other essentials.

The Don Bosco Navajeevan community distributed essential groceries-Rice 200 kg, Dal 50 kg, Wheat Flour 50 Kg, and Oil 50 ltrs for 50 transgender individuals from Jagathgirigutta.
