Mumbai, Jul. 31. A new book ''Sukhi Jeewan ka Tantar-Mantar'' was released during the South Asia BOSCOM meeting at the Don Bosco Provincial House, Mumbai on 29 July, 2018. Father Savio Silveira, Vice Provincial of Mumbai Salesians and Convenor of the Don Bosco Green Alliance, released the book amidst thunderous applause. Aimed at the student and young adult segment of society, this resource book on values and emotions, is authored by Father Norbert Damian Xalxo of the Salesian Province of Delhi.
The book seeks to address the various issues of turmoil and upheaval faced by the young in today's fast-paced highly evolving world. With a wide-ranging thematic approach, the book deals with: fear, anger, greed, optimism, health, friendship, positivity, environment, truth and righteousness, self-confidence, creativity, sympathy, compassion, leisure, contentment, discipline, bitter truths, etc.

Father Xalxo says, ''these are all topics that everyone deals with, more so the young. So I decided to compile all my animation talks which I had prepared for various programmes gleaned from personal experiences, pastoral ministry, readings from various books and from the internet, in order to accompany the young.'' Fifty topics well-arranged, comprising life-experiences, core-reflection and suggestions to put to good use, appeals to the young readers as they navigate the twists, turns, ups, downs and bends along life's tumultuous journey.

Published by Bosco Communications, New Delhi, and priced at Rs. 100/- ''Sukhi Jeewan ka Tantar-Mantar'' is a resourceful book for students, animators, teachers, young adults and just about everyone who is on a journey of 'happiness-discovery'.

Father Xalxo hopes, ''the readers will be able to fill in the pages of their life with love, service, belief, forgiveness, mercy and smiles. I do hope this small personal effort will bear much fruit to enhance the lives of everyone.''
