Rector Major addresses the Perpetually Professed Confreres to focus on poor and marginalized youngsters

By Lawrence Britto Ashok
Tiruchy, Nov. 15. The Rector Major addressed and animated the perpetually professed confreres of the Province of Tiruchy.
It was a great moment for the perpetually professed confreres of INT Province to be addressed and animated by the tenth successor of Don Bosco Father Angel Fernandez Artime. Father Albert Johnson SDB, the INT Provincial presented the statue of our lady of Good Health, the patroness of the Province.

The Rector Major made all the Salesians feel proud that we are part of a wonderful congregation that serves the poor and the marginalized youngsters in a big way. He spoke from his heart of the various services rendered by the Salesians for the youngsters especially to the neglected ones like in prison, migrant youth, exploited youth etc. He also exhorted the Salesians to be more matured in their commitment and in their spirituality to offer their whole selves to save the souls of the young. He said that Salesian vocation is a gift from God and we must worthily live this call with sense of holiness.

Greater level of maturity, strength and holiness is needed for one to save from all the clutches of power, money, positions and pleasures of this world. As we hail to be part of this wonderful congregation we need to give ourselves for the purification of our intentions as and when the Lord invites all of us.

All the Salesians hailed 'Long live Don Bosco' as they received this beautiful message from the rector major.
