Tiruchy, Feb. 19. To mark the significance of the year of spirituality of Don Bosco and to celebrate the Oratory day, the ''The Retreat, Yercaud'' community, conducted the Oratory Youth Fest on 16th February 2014 in the Retreat premises by raising the standard of the celebration and making it meaningful.
It was a fabulous day with a large group of 520 youngsters from 22 villages of Yercaud. We reach out to all of these deserving youngsters and help them in building a bright future.

The day's programme began with a short prayer service at 10 a.m. Till 12.30 p.m. they were eagerly running about in our ground, playing some challenging games conducted by our brothers. The winners were awarded with the best sports articles.

After the meals we gathered the youth in the auditorium for a cultural programme. The youngsters mesmerized everyone with their awesome dances. Mr. Maninvannan, Yercaud Thasildor and Mr. Simmarasan, VAO, presided over the programme and gave away the prizes. Mr. Manivannan addressing the youth urged them to bring out their potentials for their own good and the good of the society. The day came to an end with tea and photo session.

For the Salesians of Don Bosco, it was a beautiful and enriching experience with the youngsters of the locality, trying to carry out what Don Bosco really expected of them. Reflecting on the wonderful celebration of the day one Salesians said, ''May the blessings of the Lord and the great life of our loving father St. John Bosco, take us to greater heights in our mission to the young.''
