Inauguration of the Don Bosco Football Academy,Jawaharpuram, Madurai

Tiruchy, Aug. 22. The Don Bosco Football Academy was blessed and inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Albert Johnson sdb, the provincial of the Salesian province of Annai Vellankanni Tiruchy, Tamilnadu on the 16th of August 2013 the 198th birthday of St. John Bosco.
The inauguration ceremony started with a hymn to St. Don Bosco. There were about 250 persons taking part in the ceremony. The 28 boys selected to be trained in the academy, were the centre of attraction during the function, wearing new colourful red jerseys and blue shorts.

The Academy has a dream of creating professional footballers who would represent our district, our state and our country and would even play for international clubs. It has a dream of helping the poor boys to come up in life through horning their skills in football. It has a dream of creating persons who would be honest citizens and good followers of their religion.

Among the emiment persons present at the inauguration of the Football Academy were Rev. Fr. Vincent SDB, the Youth Director for the province of Trichy; Mr. Dhanushkodi,  President of Madurai District Football Association and Proprietor of Nippon Furniture and Proprietor of Sun Pressing Ltd.; Mr. Solar. M. Rajen, Vice president Tamilnadu Olympic Association; Mr. Durai Singh, R.S.M, Sports Development Authority of Tamilnadu, Madurai; Mr. C. R. Chinnadurai, Chairman of CR Engineering College and Proprietor of CR Constructions;and Mr. Suresh, Proprietor SR Marketing.
