South Asia Salesian Secretaries Meet in Shillong

Shillong, Aug. 5. The Secretaries of the Salesian Provinces of S Asia came together for their annual meeting at Pastoral Centre, Shillong on the 4th and 5th of August 2013. Fr. Noel Maddichetty SDB, the Secretary of SPCSA coordinated the programme.

Mr. Michael Perias was the resource person for the three input sessions of the first day. A person well versed in the trends and movements of the corporate world, Mr. Michael, dealt with topics like Human Resource Management, Skills for Office Management, High Impact presentation Writing for news letter, Bulletting, interface etc. These sessions were practical, highly enriching and challenging.

The other sessions of the programme dealt with matters which directly concerned the office and ministry of the Province Secretary. Valuable practical suggestions were made regarding the collecting of various Province data, keeping of records, issuing of various documents, compiling of personal data of confreres etc. These interactive sessions were moments for sharing personal experiences and expertise and contributed to the enrichment of the whole group.

Fr. George Maliekal, the Provincial of Silchar Province, presided over the Eucharist on the first day and Fr. Paul Olphindro the Vice Provincial on the second day.
