Panjim, Feb. 10. The Panjim Province Salesian Family gathered together for its annual Salesian Family Day 2013 (SFD) at Don Bosco Oratory Panjim, on 10th February.
Over 80 lay members from the alumni, co-operators, Friends of Don Bosco, ADMA, etc., met in fellowship. Also present were Fr Ian Figueiredo, Provincial(INP) and over 20 Salesian Fathers and FMAs.

The half day program was coordinated by the provincial unit of the salesian family, along with its delegate Fr. Savio Gomes. The delegate welcomed the gathering with a presentation of its activities and motives of the movement. This was followed by the solemn eucharist presided by the Provincial, who basing himself on the Strenna for the year, sharpened the focus of all our activities and groups - Youth. Fr Provincial said that the situation of youth is fast changing, and there are elements that are accepted the world at large about them, to which we need to attune ourselves and channelize our energies.

An encounter like the Salesian family day, was a real morale booster for the different salesian family members to feel one with the various units of the great salesian movement, who collaborate in different ways, in the one big salesian mission.

The compere Savio Noronha, led the gathering into a short cultural program followed by games activities for interaction. The program concluded in the afternoon with a fellowship meal.
