Inauguaration And Blessing Of The Chapel Of Our Lady Of Fatima at Ahmednagaar

Mumbai, Feb. 7. January 18, 2013 was indeed a red letter day for the villages of Malvi - Pimpalgao, Ahmednagar as they witnessed the inauguration and blessing of their new chapel ''Our Lady of Fatima'' by his Lordship Bishop Lourdes Daniel and Fr. Michael Fernandes, the Provincial of the Salesian province of Mumbai in the presence of the entire Salesian Provincial Council of Mumbai along with the priests and sisters from and in and around Ahmednagar.
Early in the evening Bishop Lourdes Daniel and Fr. Michael Fernandes along with the provincial council and the other priests and sisters were welcomed by the villagers. Bishop Lourdes Daniel unveiled the plaque and Fr. Michael cut the ribbon after which the faithful entered the chapel for the Eucharistic celebration which took place after the Bishop had blessed the Chapel.
 
The Bishop during the homily exhorted the people to come closer to one another and to God thus building the church of God into one family. After the Eucharist the people felicitated the Bishop, the Provincial, priests and sisters. The programme ended with fellowship meal.

All the faithful of Malvi were happy for the blessing ceremony that took place, and above all for the new Chapel they have.
