Mumbai, Aug. 15. SPAIN, AUGUST 15, 2011: Over the last two days, youth from the Salesian world have been converging at the Salesian School at Guadalajara in Spain, ahead of the World Youth Day which will take place in Madrid. There is a large contingent from Mexico, others from Italy, Ghana, Sudan, Congo and India.
Out of the forty eight Indian SYM applicants, only nineteen, mainly Salesians, FMA and youth animators were granted visas.  The youth were left behind.
It is awesome to see how the Guadalajara Salesians and youth volunteers have organized our stay for the week. Their warm welcome, power packed animations in the form of morning and evening prayers, mass, games, guided city tours, and lavish spread of food have overwhelmed us.
The spirit among the youngsters from the Salesian World is truly electrifying. They have been making efforts to get to know each other though conversations during meals, during group activities and at spontaneous outbursts of song and dance during the breaks.
A family circle with indigenous items was filled with spontaneity and Salesian joy. Each day promises to lead us to ever deeper levels of participation and exciting experiences of enrichment.
