Dimapur, May. 25. The Province of Dimapur had the rarest of privileges and honour to celebrate the Salesian family day with the father of the entire family, Don Bosco, on 24 May, at Don Bosco Provincial House, Dimapur.  The members included - SDBs, FMAs, MSMHCs, Cooperators and Past Pupils.
The day also saw the celebration of the solemnity of Mary Help of Christians, conclusion of the visit of the relic of Don Bosco, Perpetual profession and First professions in the morning. In the afternoon, it consisted of animation of the Salesian family, as well as felicitation of the newly and perpetually professed members. The members were animated on the Strenna 2011, through a video presentation.

Fr. James Poonthuruthil, Provincial, speaking to those gathered for the celebration, recalled the grand reception given to the relic of Don Bosco, at all places in the provinces, said that ''Don Bosco deserved that praise and honour. He pointed out that Don Bosco was and should be the rallying point.'' He indeed is a great father of a great family, he noted.

The programme was interspersed with items felicitating the new and perpetually professed, by all the groups of the Salesian Family. It was indeed a sign of unity and strength around Don Bosco. The felicitation programme concluded with the burning of the letters collected during the visit of the casket at various places.
