Dimapur, May. 21. It was just incredible that Don Bosco could pull such a crowd even in death. Without exaggeration, more than twenty thousand people paid homage to Don Bosco at Catholic Church, Golaghat from 19 - 21 May. It demonstrated the power of Don Bosco while showcasing the love that people have for the father of the young.
The motorcade consisting fifty motorbikes with young riders, escorted the relic from St. Mary's School, Doigrong, a distance of sixteen kilometres, to Golaghat. The grand reception given at Tokani Park, at the heart of the town, with thousands waiting to get a glimpse of the relic was just amazing. The traditional and colourful dances that accompanied the relic enroute to the Parish Church with thousands of onlookers was awe inspiring.

The Catholics from the parish itself, as well as from neighbouring parishes flocked in great number to pay their homage and seek the blessings of the father and friend of the young. The students filed up from the schools around to pray to the great educator of the young.

On the morning of 20 May, the Relic made a brief visit to Don Bosco School, Rangajan, a newly opened school, where it was received by the staff, students, parents and guardians. The solemn Mass in the evening was presided over by Fr. Rajesh Lakra, joined by several priests from the neighbouring parishes. The devotion with which the more than two thousand faithful participated, was stirring and very motivating.
