AICUF Unit of Don Bosco College, Maram bids farewell to outgoing executive team -on 3rd March 2010. The meeting which was presided over by Rev. Fr. P.O Sebastian, the Rector of Don Bosco College, Maram began at 3.45pm. After the introduction, welcome and the opening prayer the Report of AICUF 2009-10 was presented by Kaisa IIIBA English the secretary of AICUF.
AICUF Unit of Don Bosco College, Maram bids farewell to outgoing executive team -on 3rd March 2010. The meeting which was presided over by Rev. Fr. P.O Sebastian, the Rector of Don Bosco College, Maram began at 3.45pm. After the introduction, welcome and the opening prayer the Report of AICUF 2009-10 was presented by Kaisa IIIBA English the secretary of AICUF. Rev.Fr. Jerish, the warden of Don Bosco Boys' Hostel and lecturer of Don Bosco College, Maram, motivated the upcoming team with his output on the impact and benefits of Catholic Education in India. Catholic education which was planted in 1850's has influenced a number of young people to build up our country with Christian principles and values. Country has grown to liberty and peace by the impact of catholic education. It was followed by an Interaction with the outgoing team.
The following were the questions put forth by the students to the outgoing students;
a. What motivated to be an AICUF member?
b. What was the sole aim of your membership in this movement?
c. What were your inputs during the past one year months?
d. What are the programmes that you conduct as part of this association?
The interaction was indeed inspiring and energizing the young AICUFers.
Rev. Fr. Sebastian encouraged the AICUFers to be prophets of change in the society by being inventive with original ideas and to take up research on social problems. This was followed by a Farewell Address given by Stephen Karaiba I BA English followed by few words of gratitude from the outgoing president from Athikho Peter. Then the Vice Principal Rev. Sr. Rose Mary addressed the group with her encouraging words followed by presentation to the executive committee.
The Unit Adviser Sr. Deepa thanked the Principal Rev Fr. Benny for his guidance and initiation in the activities of the AICUF. She also thanked the invitees and participants for their cooperation requesting the outgoing team to be Ex-AICUFers to motivate the up-coming team. The meeting came to an end with prayer for outgoing students and final blessing by Rev Fr. Rector.
