Tiruchy, Dec. 4. Spoken English Course
Don Bosco Community College, Dindigul, conducted a three-month spoken English course for the community college students. The course started on 2nd August and ended by 29th October 2010. Fr. Britto, Rector and Bro. Daniel were the resource persons for the entire training programme. The syllabus was designed in such a way that the students get sufficient time for their theory and practice and at the end of three months they can communicate freely in English. The theory and practical classes were conducted with visual and computer aids everyday. The students were given with study materials on spoken English. The result was very positive and the students appreciated the efforts for the training. Totally 19 boys and 31 girls participated and were benefited in the training. They were able to understand and speak better in English. Functional value of English today, introductory dialogue, Grammar, Parts of speech, Tense, Number, Gender, Vocabulary and Dialogue were the contents of the course.
