Salesian College Sonada established in 1938 and the Tea Promoters India who own plantations in Darjeeling, Dooars, Assam and Kerala have launched a pilot project entitled: Women Empowerment in Tea Communities Workshop, to be spread out on five Sundays from 21 February to 21 March 2021.. To promote skill development and industry-institute collaboration, Don Bosco College (DBC), Panjim and Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on February 6, 2021. It highlights eight potential areas identified for the industry-institute engagement. Curriculum design, industrial visits, student internship, skill development programmes, guest lectures, faculty development programmes and strengthening incubation centres through industry to promote innovation, and entrepreneurship among students were the thrust areas of the MoU..
