Yercaud, India (INT): The two prestigious and people centred organizations: Shevaroyhills Tribal Development Institute (STDi) a wing of SPS INDIA FOUNDATION, The Retreat - Don Bosco, Yercaud and Jugend Eine Welt (JEW) inaugurated their Project CALLS 2.0 (COVID19 Alternative Livelihood and Living Services). This is their second intervention during the time of COVID19 to give alternative livelihood for the tribals of Yercaud. PARA launches the third phase of human rights education (HRE) at Hyderabad |

Hyderabad, 1-2 February 2021: People's Action for Rural Awakening (PARA), a Salesian-run NGO in Ravulapalem in the province of Hyderabad in its continuing endeavor to promote Human and Child Rights Culture has launched the third phase of human rights education (HRE) with title ''''Strengthening and promoting children's and human rights in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana'' in state-run schools, other stakeholders, child centred CBOs of twin states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. PARA, Ravulapalem, which has been running HRE programmes for nearly a decade organized an inaugural on 1st and 2nd February 2021 in Bosco Institute for Research and Development of Youth (BIRDY), Hyderabad with its HRE staff. Fr Vattigunta Ignatius, Director of PARA detailed the context of the project and introduced those present for inaugural, namely, Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar sdb, Provincial of Salesian Province of Hyderabad, Fr Maddhichetty Noel sdb, Director of BoscoNet and Fr Bellamkonda Sudhakar sdb, Director, Bosco Seva Kendra (BSK), development office of Salesian Province of Hyderabad. Riding high on its earlier achievement of forming 600 HR clubs, among government school students, networking with line departments and activating VCPCs in the two states, PARA aims to continue to take forward the movement of HRE among school-going children and other allied stakeholders in state-run high schools. . BSK organises Solidarity Rally along with CSOs during training in Hyderabad |

Bosco Seva Kendra (BSK), Hyderabad, 28 January 2021: Forty CSOs from different parts of Telangana organised a Solidarity Rally to show oneness with the farmers who are agitating for the past 70 days on the outskirts of New Delhi and other parts of India. Mr Shankar, Natioinal Secretary for Dalita Bahujana Front (DBF) addressed the rally and demanded the Centreal Government to revoke the recent agricultural laws which are in favour of corporate companies. He also said that the farmers are the feeding bowl of India and there cannot exist future without them. Mr Thirupathi, Praja Sangalu, JAC, Working President, Telangana urged the other partners to take up such Solidarity Rallies at various district levels. Fr Bellamkonda Sudhakar also addressed that ''No farmers, No Food, No Future. Let us all continue the Solidarity with same zeal and enthusiasm until Government reverts''.. Read More »

There were 15 trainees who successfully completed the training. Shri Daniel Thomas, the CEO of Niehoff Pvt. Ltd., India was the Chief Guest, and other dignitaries were Rev. Bosco Seva Kendra (BSK), Don Bosco Provincial House, Bandlaguda Jagir, 27 September 2020: The Salesian Province of Hyderabad through BSK, Planning and Development Office, has begun the second phase of Food & Nutrition Supplies to mark the World Day of Migration and Refugees through Salesian Houses in the State of Telangana. The 106th World Day of Migrants and Refugees (WDMR) is celebrated today with the title ''Like Jesus Christ, forced to flee'', Pope Francis urges us this year to discover the reality of internally displaced people more deeply.
BSK planned to distribute food and nutrition supplies through all the Salesian Communities across the Province during its second phase. On this World Day of Migration and Refugees, the Salesian communities at Don Bosco Mission, Wyra, Don Bosco Junior College, Chandur, Don Bosco Philosophate, Karunapuram, Don Bosco Human Resource Development Centre (DBHRDC), Gagillapur, St Theresa's Church, Sanathnagar, Don Bosco School, Motinagar, St Francis Xavier's Church, Borabanda, Sacred Heart Novitiate, Manoharabad, Bosco Institute of Research and Development for Youth (BIRDY) and Don Bosco Provincial House, Bandlaguda Jagir have distributed Food, Nutrition and Health kits to 2210 families.
