Two days of South Asia Economers' Meet took place in Don Bosco Provincial House, Okhla, New Delhi, on 22nd and 23rd February, 2021. Fr. Biju Michael, Regional Councillor of South Asia, Fr. DBBM, Cradle of Salesian Formation Celebrates Golden Jubilee |

Don Bosco Bhavan Mannuthy, the cradle of Salesian formation for the Province of Bangalore, celebrated its Golden Jubilee of Foundation on January 30, 2021. Fr Joyce Thonikuzhiyil, Provincial, with Fr Jose Koyickal, Vice-provincial and the provincial designate, and Salesians, presided over the thanksgiving Holy Eucharist. Fifty lamps representing the fifty years were placed at the altar at the beginning of the Mass, reminding the fifty graceful and rays-filled years of Don Bosco Bhavan. The Jubilee candle lit for the past 364 days was lit once again by Fr John PK, Rector, in gratitude to God for the blessings. . Read More »

The call of Jesus, to be fishers of men (Mathew 4:19) in the Don Bosco way, were heeded by four from Karnataka and eight from Kerala for the Province of Bangalore this year. The Sacred Heart Province of Bangalore (INK) is blessed with 12 new priests in the latter half of 2020 and at the beginning of 2021. Though the current pandemic protocol laid down restrictions, the ordination to the priesthood of these deacons was solemnized in the best way possible, attended by Salesians, relatives and well-wishers.. Fr. Biju Michael, the Regional Councillor for South Asia, made his first visit as Regional Councillor to Don Bosco Provincial House, New Delhi on 24th October 2020. The prime reason for his visit was to animate and discern the choice of the Provincial for the Province of New Delhi. Rev. Fr. Biju Michael, the Regional Councillor for South Asia, arrived in Ranchi on 12th October, 2020 and visited all the communities in Chotanagpur starting with Don Bosco Kokar in Ranchi and concluding in Don Bosco Jharsuguda. All the Salesian communities in Jharkhand, Chhatisgarh, and Odisha went out of their way to show their love and hospitality and welcomed the Regional Councillor with the traditional washing of hands, giving him the shawl of honour and bouquet of flowers accompanied by cultural songs and dances..
