A Gift to Facilitate Sporting Spirit in Young Minds

Chennai, Sep. 7. Accomplishing the words of Vern Gambetta, a conditioning coach, who said, 'Create an environment where champions are inevitable', The HCL Foundation has gifted a Hi-Tech Multi-purpose Sports Bus to Don Bosco Anbu Illam Social Service Society. The supporting act of HCL will reach the talents in the slum communities of Chennai and encourage and motivate the marginalized and underprivileged young minds in sports.
The project was flagged off on August 31, 2021, in the august presence of Albin Raj, Inspector of Police J11, Kannagi Nagar Police Station, by Nidi Pundhir, Director - HCL Foundation. Father Joseph Leo, Executive Director - Don Bosco Anbu Illam, received the key.

The vehicle will transport the elite players from various community centres and Government schools for training, coaching and competitions across South India. The air-conditioned sports coach has an in-built water dispenser, napkin vending machine, 42 inches LED hi-end television and other comfort giving amenities in the seating area. The control of the 24-seater bus is completely centralized at the captain's seat and under 24 hours critical surveillance. The vehicle has a speed governor for the safety of passengers.

Brother Kulandai Yeasu Arputham, Administrator, Mohan Kumar, Indian Athlete, Bopanna, Indian Basketball Player, other Elite players and HCL Foundation team were present.
