Dimapur, Jul. 26. AIDA Dimapur and SBI Sanjeevani, a Mobile Medical Van which was launched on July 1, has visited nine villages and provided free check-up and medicine from July 12 - 24.

The mobile medical van is accompanied by Dr. Sr. Rosemary, Dr. Rosaline Yekhali Chishi, Sr. Maris (BSc Nurse) and Sr. Celine along with other staff of AIDA. The villages visited by the team are Khriezephe, Diezephe, Tsithrongse, Murise, Bade, Urra, Selouphe, Samaguri, and Toulazoma. Most of the patients do not go to hospital due to financial burden  caused by the pandemic and the fear contacting COVID -19 by visiting hospitals.

AIDA, the social service wing of the Province of Dimapur is indebted to the SBI Foundation for their far sighted vision to bring the rural areas of the nation to self-reliance focussing on integrated rural development. AIDA is working along with the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), St. Joseph Pain and Palliative Care Centre, The Office of Chief medical Medical Officer (CMO), Dimapur, particularly Dr. I Moatemjen and Dr. Antoli.
