7 Salesians Commit in Perpetuity to the Lord and Society in INH Province

Hyderabad, May. 24. The Salesian Province of Hyderabad had seven young Salesians committing themselves to God and the Congregation in perpetuity. The final commitment held on May 24, in the presence of Father Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, Provincial, had also the confreres of the Provincial house community and Birdy community. The Holy Eucharistic celebration began with a procession followed by vestition, renewals, and final profession.

In his homily, Father Vijaya Bhaskar highlighted the need to belong to God. ''When we surrender our lives completely, we enjoy peace, serenity and fulfilment,'' he said. He also spoke of Blessed Mother's presence in the lives of Salesians who commit themselves faithfully. The former provincials of Hyderabad Province, Father Medabalimi Balaswamy and Father Maddhichetty Noel, were present and blessed the perpetually professed confreres.

The occasion also witnessed the renewal of the vows of seven Salesians at Provincial House. There were another 38 Salesians who renewed their vows in the various communities due to lockdown in the pandemic situation.
