Entrance leading to the Beatitudes obviously now requiring a boat service than anything else!

Our Boys and Br.Mani perched beside the bridge having a peek at the railway bridge and the road beneath which was our arterial connection to the outside world

Entrance to the Auxilium Hall of the High School submerged (as was the hall) which was housing 800 children for programs, classes and exams

A frontal view of the large erstwhile integrated playground which serviced over 2000 children!

Having braved now several `submergings` at even a hour of a shower, we offer you some snapshots of the plight we have been through the last 2 months.

The elderly residents (at the aged home) as well as the children at the orphanage boarding were obviously put to much hardship.

Beatitudes Social Service Centre is a non-discriminatory and comprehensive Social Service Institute run by the Don Bosco Group of Institutions for the last 40 years (1965-2005) particularly reaching out to the poor and the marginalized inmates of The Beatitudes, poor children, youth, women, abandoned senior citizens, Leprosy patients, their children, and thousands of women of Self Help Groups in the slums and villages around through a network of 20 Social Service oriented units under one umbrella of “The Beatitudes”.
