Chennai, Oct. 14. A Soothing touch can ease the pain, says new research


A Soothing touch can ease the pain says new research. A gentle touch, a stroke, can heal faster than a pill it is a basic human instinct each of us is born with. The scientists found that gentle stroking activates ``pleasure`` nerves beneath the skin, which then reduces the sensation of pain from other nerves. Touch itself causes release of chemicals in the brain called endorphins and these changes the sensitivity  to pain into happiness. Touch can also induce a state of well-being and change the mood of the person. Next time your loved one has a pain like headache, backache and other aches do not go for a pill a simple touch can prove to be more effective and personal. Staying close to kids, hugging and stroking their hands and forehead can give them relief and makes them grow better, feel secure and happy. So use this power of touch to heal your ...........
And remember when emotions accompany touch it helps faster and makes a person feel better.
