Easter Season specially calls us to relive this Emmaus experience. It is a step by step process in which Jesus revealed himself. Emmaus story teaches the whole treatise of Revelation in a simpler and convincing manner.

God walks with us in our day today experience. It is always His unconditional love that makes him to come to us, the first step in revelation. He feigns as if he does not know anything that happens in and around us. He expects us to present to him our fears and anxiety. When even ordinary human being tends to know our predicament God pretends to be away from the problem just to initiate a response from us.

At the end of a day`s journey, God acts as if he is walking ahead expecting that we would invite him to stay with us. Many a times we give him our cold shoulders. We readily allow him to go ahead. Ofttimes He remains an outlander. It is here the second step in Revelation should take place. God has come down to us and walks with us and it is our responsibility to reciprocate his initiative. We need to impel him to stay with us. He may not agree immediately, but it is we, who should gently force him to stay with us. Most of us fail in this second step.

Once we respond to Him, God goes on to reveal him further. It is here we need to be open with our minds and hearts. We should be heads up to decode the symbols through which God reveals himself. In this Emmaus episode it is breaking of the bread. It is normally the host shares the bread with the guest but God does the other way. The moment you respond to him by urging him to stay with us he takes the lead.

Once we experience his revelation we will be naturally transformed. Our eyes will be opened. Our anxiety, our fear and our preoccupations will melt away. We begin to develop a courage which we would never have before. We return to the same place from where we fled. This transformation demands responsibility, a responsibility to carry this revelation to others.

Cleopas says! We did it that day! It is your turn now!
