In tune with the province Don Bosco Institute of Information & Communication Excellence (DBIICE), Trichy tried to reach out to the poor youth in a novel way, which has become hugely successful.

Don Bosco Institute of Information and Communication Excellence (DBIICE), a premier institution for Media Studies in Trichy achieves another of its firsts, as the students of the first batch complete their Diploma courses.

Yet another first for the trilogy of short films produced by `alaihal MIDEA` the production wing of Don Bosco `MIDEA` of Province of Trichy. Moserbaer, the Entertainment and Home Videos major impressed with the trilogy has come forward to add the film in their upcoming Home Videos of popular Tamil films that is to go in hundreds and thousands of copies.

LIFE...LOVE...HOPE... THE TRILOGY HITS THEATRES AND ITS FIRST EVER FOR SHORT FILMS....

The trilogy of short films produced by alaihal `MIDEA`, (Media Initiatives for Development, Empowerment and Awareness) the production wing of Don Bosco `MIDEA` of Trichy Province hit the theatres in Six cities. The film release event in Chennai was graced by Dr. M. K. Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Dr. Padmasree Kamal Haasan, Mr. N. Subramanian, Mayor of Chennai, Fr. Joe Andrew sdb, the Vice-Provincial of Chennai, Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, the co-producer of the trilogy and hosts of film directors, actors and well-known personalities. The first screening was held in Chennai. And later in Coimbatore, Salem, Madurai, Trichy and Thanjavur.

Salesian Province of Tiruchy began its Provincial Chapter 2010 on 11th January 2010. The chapter began with a solemn mass presided by Rt.Rev.Bishop Tony Devota of Tiruchy on 11th morning at 6.30 am.

Don Bosco `MIDEA` JOINS BIG LEAGUE PRODUCTIONS WITH LIFE...LOVE...HOPE

Trichy: alaihal MIDEA (Media Initiatives for Development, Empowerment and Awareness) the production wing of Don Bosco `MIDEA` of the Province of Trichy has produced an International standard trilogy of short films on stigma and discrimination of people living with HIV/AIDS to restore human dignity. The film was produced in association with RED GIANT MOVIES of Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Dr. M. K. Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Tamil Nadu.

LOAN DISTRIBUTION TO SHG MEMBERS

Loan was distributed to 40 SHG members (Rs.5000/- each) to start small scale industry in the villages.
